Injury Rehabilitation

“He has been treating a ankle problem that I have had for years and he has fixed me! I have no pain at all and he has given me new methods to strengthen this area that will help prolong my football career. Dale is a kind and considerate person and this enables him to interact with patients on a level that they respect his opinion and trust his judgement!” (Lucy, Barnsley Womens Football Club)

Injury rehabilitation can range from being a short term or long-term service, focusing on your plan to get back to work or back to full fitness following an injury or continuous muscle/joint dysfunction. We will assess, treat, and format a simplified injury rehabilitation programme to suit you. For example, this will include a 4 to 8 week guide, aimed at strengthening the specific areas of your body. Whether you need regular one-to-one treatments or communication we will help you achieve your fitness goals!

Following your specific programme, a review will be organised to judge the outcome of your rehabilitation routines. Our approach to the client is extremely flexible and will work around your working or leisure time.

Sports Therapy 2 You Ltd.

So we’ve hit around the 8 week mark since big changes came into our lives. So what have we done differently to our ‘norm’? Used the time out to walk around local surroundings? Started a running programme 🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️? Designing your own home workout routines 💪🏻🏋️‍♂️? More time to speak with our friends and family 📞?

With now the opening of more sport and activity opportunities coming our way such as golf ⛳️ and tennis 🎾, things are hopefully looking at the turn 🙏🏻! From the company’s perspective we’ve had that to invest time into a freshened up website, new ideas on how we share information to you, additional CPD and fresh plans on rehabilitation procedures.

With forever thanks to the all the key workers in this difficult time we encourage to keep your head high and you will reflect how this period of time has made you stronger 💪🏻!

Ok, we might go on about core stability 🙈, so here’s another 7 reasons 🙌🏻 to why it is useful in your training programmes, pre-habilitation or rehabilitation....

A - Adds strength and stability to your ankles. Perfect for those with previous ankle injuries or who are involved in sports that include change of direction or jumping ⚽️🏀🏈🎾🏉🏸🏑🏒🤾‍♀️

B - Adds strength and stability to the knees. Ideal exercise to strengthen up knee ligaments from previous injuries or progressive training loads. Again, very useful for sports that involve change of direction or landing phases. ⛹️🤸⛷🏀⚽️

C - Stabilize the hips ✅ improve balance ✅ prevent pelvic tilt ✅ take pressure off your spine ✅.

D - Activating the abdominals. Engage the core of your body to maintain your spines health. Essential for power lifters or recreational weight lifters 🏋️‍♂️🏋️

E - Great exercise for the obliques. Again, essential for supporting your spine and reducing risk of back pain symptoms.

F - Shoulder stability. Whether your coming back from a tear, strain or dislocation, this position will increase your shoulder strength significantly.

G - Test yourself, add a resistance 💪🏻. Dumb bell or kettle bell or even a filled water bottle. Once in hand, move arm in different directions to test yourself against unstable positions.
